The Palestinian NGOs Network (PNGO), in partnership with ActionAid Palestine, conducted a specialised Training of Trainers (ToT) programme on Civil Peace and Social Cohesion for members of the Humanitarian Youth Group (HYGP). The training aimed to build participants’ capacities, equip them with the skills to transfer knowledge, and strengthen their role in humanitarian and community work.
The training covered key concepts and practices related to civil peace and social cohesion, alongside developing participants’ skills in designing, delivering, and facilitating training sessions. It aimed to enable participants to apply their knowledge and skills to promote dialogue, foster mutual understanding, and strengthen social cohesion within their communities.
The training also highlighted the role of young people as active contributors to humanitarian and community work, emphasising the importance of expanding their participation in addressing humanitarian and social challenges and strengthening their ability to contribute to responses grounded in participation, dialogue, and non-discrimination.
The three-day training took place in Gaza City and Deir al-Balah, as part of PNGO and its partners’ ongoing efforts to invest in the capacities of Palestinian youth, strengthen their leadership roles, and promote their active participation in humanitarian and community work.
